Propósitos

Velar por los intereses y promover el mejoramiento de sus asociados en el desarrollo de su labor profesional en la ciencia del suelo.

Promover en la sociedad costarricense la consciencia y la educación hacia la importancia del recurso suelo y su manejo sostenible, para su protección y conservación a nivel nacional.

Fomentar la capacitación, la difusión y el intercambio de información tanto de material científico como tecnológico relacionado con el recurso suelo, entre: los miembros de la Asociación, los diferentes entes científicos nacionales e internacionales, los productores o usuarios del recurso y la sociedad civil en general.

Mantener un foro multidisciplinario de discusión permanente tanto a nivel técnico como político que propicie la actividad sinérgica de las entidades nacionales e internacionales relacionadas con el recurso suelo...

Fomentar la investigación científica y el desarrollo tecnológico del país en la ciencia del suelo a través de acciones integradas con los sectores productivo, académico, gubernamental y privado.

Fomentar la generación, organización y conservación del acervo científico de datos de suelos nacionales que permita su utilización por los usuarios que los requieran.
